I created the above fall leaves swag for a licensing client. I still enjoy flexing my digital skills now and then!
Living in Florida, this might be all the fall color I get. It is still rather hot there, but the grass is slowing down, it's getting breezier and the humidity has dropped a tiny bit. Fall in Florida :-)
Level 2 Cold Wax class is here!
At the end of August, I published my Level 1 - Getting Started with Cold Wax Medium class on Skillshare.com. This class covered the basics of getting started with the medium, such as mixing the cold wax with oil paint, choosing substrates or supports as well as how to apply it to surfaces.
This brand new Level 2 class - Scratching the Surface and Beyond with Cold Wax, builds on those basic skills by exploring a wide range of mark-making tools, more creative brayer options as well as mixing a cohesive palette and bonus studio tips.
Sign up on Skillshare and receive 2 months of FREE access to both classes as well as all the fantastic classes available on Skillshare (you can cancel any time).
Be sure to follow me on Skillshare (click the blue "+" sign below my profile pic) in order to be notified when the next classes are published.
In the upcoming "Level 3 - Digging Deeper into Working with Cold Wax" we'll explore a variety of media that can be used in your cold wax paintings, such as soft pastels, inks, pigment sticks, oil bars, pigment powders, and more, as well as look closer at different ways to use solvents.
